Fitness. Discipline. Strength. Three words that describe many areas of martial arts as well as the motto behind Legion Fighting Alliance’s rebrand to The Lab Martial Arts and Fitness. In late 2023, The Lab relocated from their downtown Benton Harbor space to their new gym at 4410 N. Roosevelt Dr. Unit C in Stevensville.

Offering Jiu-Jitsu, kickboxing, wrestling technique refinement, and full body functional workouts, they help memberss build their confidence to take on even the most mundane of daily tasks. Their programs provide an ideal environment for athletes of any and all levels – from the experienced and seasoned fighter to those stepping on the mat for the first time, including specialized kid’s classes.

The Southwest Michigan Regional Chamber will be hosting a special ribbon cutting and grand opening celebration with The Lab on Monday, September 16th from 6:00 – 8:00 p.m. Those attending are welcome to join in for an open mat for training or to simply explore the new gym.

Refreshments, including Pizza Hut pizza will be available for attendees to enjoy as well as the opportunity to win a one-year membership, and free shirts. Those unable to attend that evening are welcome to stop to experience a mix of fun training classes throughout the day.

Regional Chamber President & CEO Arthur Havlicek commented, “The Lab Martial Arts and Fitness represents the spirit of growth and community that defines Southwest Michigan. Their commitment to fostering fitness, discipline, and strength in individuals of all skill levels aligns perfectly with our mission to support businesses that enhance the quality of life in our region.
