Michigan Works is planning its next hiring event for October 4 in Benton Harbor.
Michigan Works says they’ll have more than 20 employers on hand ready to fill open positions. The employers represent several industries, and include 1st Source Bank, Arcadia Home Care, Corewell Health, First Student, Four Winds Casino, Help at Home, Kay Manufacturing, Martins Supermarkets, and more.
Michigan Works Business Solutions Director Mark O’Reilly says a hiring event in July brought more than 175 job seekers through the doors to meet with 25 employers. He’s expecting the event next month to also be a success.
In addition to employers, the event will host community service agencies that can help attendees with things like resumes.
