Michigan Restaurant & Lodging Assoc. Calls for Reinstatement of Pure Michigan $$

Citing “unfinished business” that needs their immediate attention, the Michigan Restaurant & Lodging Association is on the record in calling on Gov. Gretchen Whitmer and the Michigan Legislature to take action to restore funding for the long-running, award-winning Pure Michigan campaign.

The President & CEO of the Michigan Restaurant & Lodging Association, Justin Winslow, issued a statement and released a new video today supporting the reinstatement of funding for the Pure Michigan campaign, and calling for the end of the “political theater” playing out on the state’s legislative stage.

Winslow say, “As the governor prepares to present her budget for the coming year, the state’s second largest employer would like to remind her and her colleagues in the legislature that they have some unfinished business to attend to first. There are 200,000 Michiganders working in the hospitality industry whose livelihood is at risk because of a veto with no justifiable cause. The time for political theater is over. The time for action is now. Restore Pure Michigan funding.”
