Here’s a heads up for those who travel Lakeshore Drive, Business Loop 94, in the Stevensville area routinely. The Michigan Department of Transportation will launch a resurfacing project for a stretch of that roadway beginning Monday and it will take until around the end of May to complete it.
MDOT says that the resurfacing project will begin next Monday, April 20th, and undertake work on more than a mile of the roadway from St. Joseph Avenue in front of the Stevensville Meijer northward to just beyond Glenlord Road.
The project, which includes new concrete curb, gutter, and ramps is slated for completion by Friday, May 29th, according to MDOT officials.
The project is designed to extend the life of the roadway, improve safety, and improve the ride quality for everyone traveling the route.
MDOT says you should expect single-lane closures along that stretch of Lakeshore Drive both daytime and nighttime throughout the project’s run.
