I think Bold Women of Business demonstrate being bold by being their most authentic selves and being true to who they are. Strength and boldness lie in genuineness.

Please provide an example of when you feel you were at your very best in taking action on the job or in your role.
An example of when I feel I am at my very best in taking action on the job or in my role is when I am at a travel or trade show. I can show my passion for Southwest Michigan and share with folks why they should spend their time and money here.

What’s the funniest thing that ever happened on your road to success?
One of the funniest things that happened to me on my road to success was playing April Fool’s pranks on my former boss. That was fun AND bold!

Who most inspires your personal drive for success every day?
The two women who preceded me in my position, Millicent Huminsky and Phyllis Dowsett. They poured their heart and soul into this organization and it shows. I have a responsibility to continue their legacy. Their actions, commitment, and drive inspire me.

What is your best advice to women in Southwest Michigan looking to succeed, as you have, in business?
My best advice to women in Southwest Michigan looking to succeed in business is to be passionate about your work, care about the people working alongside you, set goals, be kind, listen intently, step outside your comfort zone, and ask for help when needed.

What does your selection to the ranks of the Bold Women of Business from Moody on the Market mean to you?
My selection to the ranks of the Bold Women of Business from Moody on the Market is a complete honor. I am very appreciative of the nomination and being considered. I’m proud to be in a category with these other 19 Bold women. I’m fortunate to be able to do the work I do for the community I love.
