Groundbreaking is slated today for a massive expansion project designed to nearly double the size of the offices of St. Joseph Dentistry on Niles Road in St. Joseph.
Construction efforts are being launched today for that sizable expansion project at 3386 Niles Road, across from The Herald-Palladium offices. Once that project is complete, the practice will nearly double the space for the team, greatly enhancing their ability to care for and serve its patients. The practice will remain fully operational during the expansion project, which includes:
- A new centralized patient waiting room with designated kid’s play area
- Fifteen treatment rooms
- A centralized sterilization room
- Additional restrooms
- A new staff conference room and lounge
St. Joseph Dentistry selected Pearson Construction as their Design Builder who will utilize their in-house architectural firm, TERA Architects, as their design partner. Once the new addition is complete, the practice will move into the new space and phase two of renovations will take place on the existing building. Construction is expected to wrap up by next March.
St. Joseph Dentistry owner, Dr. Charles Howenstine, DDS, comes from a long line of dental professionals dedicated to serving the needs of their patients. His grandfather, uncle, and father were all dentists, and his mother a hygienist. He says that strong connection to dentistry helped lay the groundwork for his commitment to serving the dental needs of southwest Michigan.
Dr. Howenstine tells us, “The relationship that I have developed with my patients over the last eight years has been really rewarding for me,” and adds, “I truly enjoy being able to improve a person’s quality of life through the work that we do. This new addition will allow us to expand care to an even greater number of patients, bringing them the same high-level care and dental experience our patients have become accustomed to at St. Joseph Dentistry.”
