LOGAN Community Resources, Inc is preparing to celebrate ten years of operating in southwest Michigan. The Southwest Michigan Regional Chamber tells us the LOGAN & Southwest Michigan Regional Chamber Decade of Service Celebration will be Wednesday, April 18th, 4:30 p.m. – 6:30 p.m. at LOGAN Autism Learning Center in Benton Harbor.
The event is being held as part of National Autism Acceptance Month.
Located in the basement of a church in St. Joe, Michigan, in 2013, the LOGAN Autism Learning Center grew quickly. In 2016, it moved into its current location at 1651 Nickerson Ave in Benton Harbor. The LOGAN Autism Learning Center serves children and adults with intellectual and developmental disabilities in center and home-based settings and is the only nonprofit autism service in the area.
Since then, the LOGAN Autism Learning Center has served more than 1,000 families. On April 18th at 4:30 pm, LOGAN and the Southwest Michigan Regional Chamber will host a celebration with light refreshments to celebrate this milestone and honor National Autism Acceptance Month.
“After ten years of serving Southwest Michigan, LOGAN has become an essential part of the community,” said LOGAN President and CEO Matt Harrington. “The work LOGAN staff does here is truly inspiring. They work one-on-one with children and adults, helping them reach developmental milestones.”
“We are thrilled to partner with LOGAN to celebrate the 10 years of positive impact they’ve had on individuals and families in Southwest Michigan,” Arthur Havlicek, President & CEO of the Southwest Michigan Regional Chamber says. “Their commitment to the community has proven to be an invaluable resource, one that we look forward to witnessing their continued growth and success.”
