Your Red Arrow ride will bring a spirited new stop in the Harbor Country community of Sawyer thanks to a couple of fun-loving friends who decided that we should all have the opportunity to sample a nice array of hand-crafted cocktails from many makers of those great spirits all in one place. The aptly-named new Local Pour tasting room will debut one week from this Friday, on June 4th with a Grand Opening slated for June 12th.
Your trip to visit many of the makers in the region gains an awesome new stop at the Sawyer crossroads of 12857 Red Arrow Highway soon from the drawing boards of owner Chalet Sturgeon and her good friend Jayme Neumann. 
The two are calling Local Pour, “A Tasting Room with a Twist,” because they will be serving up Michigan-made wines, beers, ciders, and craft cocktails inside their newly renovated space that was most recently known as Pablo’s Cafe. The new stop also features patio seating outdoors.
Lifelong Southwest Michigan resident, Chalet Sturgeon, as owner, tells us that Local Pour will also be showcasing special vintner talks and tasting events. She says, “I can’t wait to share my passion for wine and all things Michigan-made.” She has partnered with her good friend Jayme Neumann to bring the vision to life, and adds, “People finally have the chance to sample a variety of the very best Michigan-made products under one roof with the help of friendly people who are genuinely happy to explain the process.”
To keep guests satisfied and coming back for more, Local Pour will feature a menu that changes quarterly as well as offering delicious charcuterie boards and Michigan-made cheeses, dips, and sausage. They are also particularly excited to feature live music on Saturdays.
Local Pour welcomes the opportunity to make people feel at home while they gather to experience beverages made exclusively by Michigan-makers. Local Pour will be open Sunday through Thursday from 12pm to 6pm, and Friday and Saturday from 12pm to 7pm (eastern standard time).
