Set for September 18 is College Night at Lake Michigan College. LMC Admissions Director Eric Wignall tells us the event this year will feature colleges, universities, trade schools, and more.
“Over 60 different colleges and universities and other organizations will be on hand,” Wignall said. “Representatives will be there to talk to you about programs they offer, financial aid that might be available, scholarships, all sorts of things.”
Wignall says College Night is a great opportunity for high school students to plan for their futures as they can talk one on one with staff from those 60-plus institutions.
“Knowledge is a wonderful thing to have when you’re looking at your future and trying to figure out what your options can be. There are so many different types of schools, so many different types of programs that are out there.”
Wignall says colleges right now are competing for students, so it’s the right time for those seeking to enroll to get the best scholarships and programs. College Night will be held at the Mendel Center from 6 to 7:30 on the 18th. It’s free and open to everyone. Attendees are asked to register online.
