MISSING PERSON UPDATE:
The Lincoln Township Police are asking for assistance in locating a missing 57 year old white female with medical conditions. Anna Hyszczak was last seen by her family at approximately 1:15 p.m. on October 4th when she left her home near Cherry Lane and Orchard Drive, riding her bike. Family members searched for her in places that she has been known to frequent in the past. At approximately 3 p.m., a family member located her bike in the 5600 block of Notre Dame in Lincoln Township, leaning against a fence post about 25 yards into a wooded area, along an old driveway. Family searched the wooded area but were unable to locate her. At approximately 5 p.m., her family contacted the Lincoln Township Police for assistance with locating her. Lincoln Township Police Officers searched the area with the help of Lincoln Township Fire Department, Berrien County Sheriff Department K9, and the Michigan State Police K9 unit. Searchers were unable to locate her so a Michigan State Police Helicopter with thermal capability was requested to search the area. After an unsuccessful search with the thermal technology, the search was called off due to darkness. The search was resumed the following morning with the assistance of Lincoln Township Fire, a Cass County Deputy with a bloodhound, along with Berrien County Deputies and Michigan State Troopers. The search is ongoing.
Anna Hyszczak’s information is posted on The Lincoln Township Facebook page. The Lincoln Township Police asks anyone with any information to contact the Lincoln Township Police Department at 269-429-2444.
