A local restaurant is getting ready to re-fire up the grills.
After announcing a temporary closure in October 2022, La Pita Mediterranean restaurant in St. Joseph announced in a Facebook post they will reopen Thursday, Feb. 9.
The restaurant – which serves a variety of Lebanese and Mediterranean dishes – did not specify why they closed for so long when they announced the closure, just saying they wanted a break after a long season in 2022.
“After a much-needed break, we’re thrilled to announce the reopening of our restaurant,” the post said. “We’re ready to serve you once again. Come and enjoy the same great Mediterranean food and service that you know and love, in a safe and comfortable environment. Let’s make new memories together!”
The restaurant – located at 2019 Niles Road, behind Chemical Bank – originally planned to reopen in January, but staffing issues forced them to remain closed.
