The regional accounting, tax and advisory team of Kruggel Lawton CPAs has rapidly erased any doubt that they are serious about doing business in Michigan’s Great Southwest. Two years after combining operations with the St. Joseph-based accounting firm of Schaffer & Layher, Kruggel Lawton will anchor their Michigan operations in the Edgewater District in the former Perry Ballard incubator building on Upton Drive, having purchased the building to accommodate their expansion.
The Kruggel Lawton team will move to the north side of town from the Southtown neighborhood by the end of the year as work gets underway on modernization renovations at 526 Upton Drive East, which was the long time home to Perry Ballard, Inc. and most recently home to Holt Bosse. The Holt Bosse team, on a huge growth curve of their own, moved to downtown St. Joseph back in February to the former Smith Dahmer building on State Street.

The team is beginning renovations this month and they expect those updates to be completed and ready for move-in by December of this year, when they plan to step away from their current facility at 805 Van Brunt Avenue in the Southtown neighborhood of St. Joseph.
