Judgement of Michigan Wine competition to showcase MI wines on a national level

Michigan wine producers will put their best to the test at the Judgement of Michigan wine competition, hosted by the Michigan Wine Collaborative, at Lake Michigan College on Tuesday, August 3.

The event will host judges from throughout the US, representing the restaurant, media, wholesale and retail sectors.

Wines submitted for judgement will be categorized according to style and variety, with the top wines in each category receiving medals. Award winning wines will be featured in showcase events in metropolitan areas throughout Michigan.

The Michigan Wine Collaborative is a Traverse City-based non-profit advocate for the Michigan wine industry. It aims to expand Michigan wine to new markets by supporting education, research, and workforce development.

Media representation at the event will include the Wine Enthusiast, Wine Spectator, Wine Folly, Forbes and the Washington Post.
