Job Fair brings employers & applicants together Sept 19 at Michigan Works! in BH

If you’re looking for a job, you’ll want to join Michigan Works! at their next hiring event where an estimated 25 employers will be meeting with candidates to fill their open positions.

The next hiring event will take place on Thursday, September 19 from 10:00 am- 2:00 pm at the Michigan Works! Service Center, located at 499 West Main Street in Benton Harbor.

Last month’s hiring event brought 25 employers and 310 job seekers together, resulting in many on-the-spot interviews and filled positions. In addition to hosting employers in various industries, the job fair will also host resource providers to help job seekers with education, training, and support services. Dialo’s Food Truck will also be on site during the event.

The growing list of employers includes: Arcadia Home Care & Staffing, Beacon Specialized Living Services, Colson Group Holdings, LLC., Fairfield by Marriott St. Joseph Stevensville, Fifth Third Bank, First Student Inc., Flowers Early Learning (formerly Tri-County Head Start), Inn at Harbor Shores, New Products Corporation, Pero Family Farms, Primerica, ProFarm Group, Pro Transmission, Republic Services, Spectrum Community Services, The Center for Growth and Independence, The Children’s Center, Twin City Area Transportation Authority, US Postal Service, Workbox Staffing, and Youth Development Company.

Attending resource providers include Michigan Works!, Lake Michigan College, and Michigan Rehabilitation Services.

Individuals who would like to participate should arrive at the job fair interview ready with an updated resume.
