A ‘freaky fast’ drive-thru is ready to serve local customers.
The new Jimmy John’s location at 985 E. Napier Ave in Benton Harbor is now open, more than a year after Benton Township trustees approved the site plan.
The new 1,100 square foot location will primarily operate as a drive-thru restaurant. There are no dining tables inside, however customers can place and and pick up orders inside the restaurant. There are also two parking spots available for curbside pickup of orders places through the Jimmy John’s mobile app.
At a Sept. 2021 Benton Township meeting, site developer Jim Paul said the restaurant intended to have outdoor seating. There are no tables currently outside the restaurant, however there is a concrete slab which could potentially serve as a seating area.
The owners of this franchise moved from their previous location across the street in Fairplain Plaza as a result of an expiring lease and a desire for a drive-thru, according to reporting by The Herald-Palladium.
