Accomplishments
My biggest accomplishment is being a mother of three wonderful children and a wife to my husband. I have ran two half marathons (both in the same year, so that makes a full right)? ha! I work as the lead occupational therapist for Corewell Health South, treating patients in the main acute care hospital in St. Joseph.
What else do you hope to accomplish by the age of 40?
I’m cutting it close! I hope to continue to spread laughter, love, and kindness to everyone I meet. I want to run a full marathon by the time I am 40. I have always wanted to run a marathon because I have a son that has cerebral palsy. I want to run for those who aren’t able!
Education
I hold a Bachelor’s degree in Kinesiology from Michigan State University and have and a master’s degree in occupational therapy from Western Michigan University.

Who inspires you most?
My kids. They truly are amazing. I have a son with special needs and he has defined the odds. We were told he might not ever walk or talk, and you should see him now!! His two siblings are nothing less than amazing with him and give him more support than we could have ever imagined. Our kids have truly taught us more than we could ever teach them. My parents have also inspired me to keep going and have supported me in my need for endless activities!
That one thing about you we’d be most surprised to learn.
I have gone skydiving and I would love to go again 🙂
What do you love to do in your downtime?
I don’t like downtime! I love to stay busy and active doing activities with my family and friends. I highly dislike sitting down! I love to travel and go on trips with anyone who will take me!
What book are you reading now?
Any children’s book to my kids! We read “Only One You” just about everyday!
Volunteer activity you love the most.
Anything with my kids’ school, running with MyTeamTriumph, fill in soccer coach as needed.
What motivates you to give back to your community?
Seeing the joy that it brings people and seeing what people can accomplish when they all come together with the same goal.
What Superpower would you most love to have? (for example, the ability to fly or to be invisible, or incredible strength, etc)
Teleport!
What would you like to leave behind as your legacy once you are gone?
I want to leave behind happiness and kindness. Life is short, and I want everyone to enjoy each day! Live it up!!
What does the honor of being named to the 40 Under 40 most mean to you?
How exciting! I honestly feel like just an everyday person just living life, so I’m honored that I somehow managed to be in this group. I am in awe of the people who are also recognized and think you are all amazing!
