Whirlpool’s Lakeview Trail tunnel is now complete.
With M-63 set to reopen this week, we decided to take a look inside the tunnel at the company’s corporate headquarters in Benton Township. The project will eventually connect the 5.5 miles of existing bicycle trails to a new, western section of trails. Take a look at the video below:

This week, construction starts on the west side of the road. Lakeview Trail is intended for the public, and has portions for both beginners and more advanced riders. The new west side of the trail will be geared to more advanced riders. A celebration to mark the completion of the tunnel is planned for June.
