Life is tough enough living day to day in a homeless shelter or a shelter for victims of domestic abuse, but when you have few, if any, of the simple creature comforts it can be unbearable. That’s why Two Men and a Truck have stepped up with their Movers for Moms program again this year, and why Honor Credit Union is doing the honorable thing as a partner by establishing drop-off collection sites to make it easier for the rest of us to help out the cause.
Honor Credit Union officials announced great pride today with their plan to provide six collection sites in Berrien County for Two Men and a Truck’s Movers for Moms program. The following Honor Credit Union locations are collecting donations from the community until Monday, May 7:
- Benton Harbor
- Berrien Springs
- Coloma
- Niles
- St. Joseph
- Stevensville
The Movers for Moms program partners with local businesses and organizations to collect essential care items for women — specifically moms — staying in local domestic abuse or homeless shelters. Two Men and a Truck will deliver all donations to partnering shelters around the Mother’s Day holiday.
Local communities in Berrien County are encouraged to donate items such as:
- Soaps
- Hair styling products
- Shampoos and conditioners
- Pillows and blankets
- Slippers
- Other basic clothing items
You are encouraged to deliver items such as those to a participating Honor Credit Union location during the month of April. More information on Movers for Moms can be found by clicking the link below:
