The deal is done, the transformation is complete, and what for years had been the Post Community Credit Union of Battle Creek and Kalamazoo is now a part of the Honor Credit Union family brand.
Honor Credit Union’s newly strengthened relationship with the Kalamazoo and Battle Creek markets has evolved through the partnership with Post Community Credit Union (PCCU) and the merger. PCCU’s six branches located in the Kalamazoo and Battle Creek areas officially opened as Honor Credit Union branches this week on Monday, October 2.
PCCU selected Honor Credit Union to align their resources to better serve members of both credit unions. Honor has always held its members’ financial success at the core of its mission, and PCCU shares that belief.
Through the PCCU partnership, Honor is now proud to offer its members 24 branch locations across the state of Michigan, spanning both the upper and lower peninsulas. Joining the two successful credit union’s resources together will allow for increased financial opportunity for members, as well as superior member service. The level to which the combined credit unions will be able to reinvest in the communities they serve will only continue to increase.
Rob Viland had been CEO at the former Post Community Credit Union. He will now serve as Honor Credit Union’s Chief Relationship Officer. Viland says, “We chose to partner with Honor because of the close alignment of our credit union cultures.” He adds, “Both credit unions share a passion for helping members and giving back to the community, and by joining forces we are now positioned to do even more. This partnership is a win for both organizations”.
