Henri Hall Of St. Joseph Named Kitchenaid Senior PGA Championship Volunteer of the Year

Henri Hall of St. Joseph has been named the 2022 Kitchenaid Senior PGA Championship Volunteer of the Year Award. The PGA Tells us more:

At the conclusion of the 82nd KitchenAid Senior PGA Championship, the PGA of America named Henri Hall from Saint Joseph, MI as the recipient of the 2022 Dr. John Proos Volunteer of the Year Award. Hall has served as Volunteer Services Chair since 2018 and has volunteered at all five Championships. She was selected for this award by the 2022 Championship Operating Committee and was chosen from 1,200 individuals who served as volunteers for this year’s Championship.

“Henri has been my Co-chair for three of the tournaments. Every year, she has stepped up whole-heartedly. This year, I knew I would not be available for all our duties. I put it in Henri’s hands, and she worked diligently to make our committee members feel important and appreciated,” said Volunteer Services Co-Chair, Linda Miller. “Henri was there from start to finish for credential stuffing, distribution and manning our tent for the tournament week all day, every day. I could never have selected a more willing Co-Chair and am thrilled to see her efforts acknowledged.”

Leading up to and during the Championship, Hall was responsible for handling uniform and credential distribution, manning the volunteer services desk throughout Championship week, selling additional uniforms, providing exchanges, monitoring the volunteer headquarters, and more.

“I am amazed that I could ever receive such an honor for something I enjoyed doing. Knowing there were so many volunteers giving their time to make this 2022 KitchenAid Sr. PGA Championship a huge success is what makes this such an unexpected honor to receive,” said Hall. “I’ll never forget being chosen as Volunteer of the Year.”

For her service, Hall received a pin flag signed by 2022 Champion Sean Alker, along with a special experience and accommodations to the 2023 PGA Championship at PGA Frisco in Frisco, Texas. She will also receive pass holder privileges at Harbor Shores for the 2022 season, which includes unlimited golf and use of the practice facility.

“My father, whom the award is named after, believed in the future of this region and this community.  He volunteered for the Sr. PGA as its medical director and would be proud that Henri Hall was named this year’s Volunteer of the Year,” said John Proos, son of Dr. John M. Proos. “Henri stepped in and worked overtime to ensure that her many volunteers were all taken care of and that all their needs were addressed. She put in an enormous number of hours of support and epitomizes the values that we all aspire to be as part of a world class event in our world class community. My mother Mary Helen, on behalf of our entire family, congratulates Henri and all of the 1,200 volunteers who gave of their time, talent and treasure during the 2022 KitchenAid Senior PGA Championship.”
