Overall— Ive learned I connect best with when I’m focused on the present, self aware, and showing up for myself first. helps me to connect with others.
What’s the funniest thing that ever happened on your road to success?
Wearing any name tag that displays my first & last name—ie (Heidi Manger) which is frequently mistaken for (THE MANAGER, heidi) which has landed me in some pretty awkward but hilarious conversations.
Who most inspires your personal drive for success every day?
My 4yo daughter Willow— She inspires me to live in the moment, being the absolute best version of myself, every. single. day.
What is your best advice to women in Southwest Michigan looking to succeed, as you have, in business?
Nurture your strengths, accept your weaknesses, be courageous, own your journey and remember, it’s never too late.
What does your selection to the ranks of the Bold Women of Business from Moody on the Market mean to you?
I am what some might call a “transplant” moving to SWMI in 2017—Where I quickly learned I prefer my pizza cut into squares, the importance of thanking a farmer, and how to prepare for War by the Shore. Although, I am not born and raised here, my daughter is, and I am honored to be recognized and proud to help represent the Bold Women of Business from Mood on the Market 2023! Thank you!
Director’s note: Heidi’s nomination was considered within the window while she was still an employee and living within the area, but she soon moved away after our awards were announced. Our judges still felt she was incredibly deserving of her award and that the rules permitted her still be eligible for the award given that she still lived and worked in the area during the nomination period.
