The Berrien County Health Department has announced it’s canceling the soil lead testing event set for Wednesday, July 10 in Benton Harbor.
Due to expected heavy rainfall, the event will be rescheduled for a later date. That date has not yet been established.
In addition, the Benton Harbor Farmers Market has also been canceled for Wednesday due to the weather. Farmers Market Manager Carla Smart-White says the market will continue next week at the regular scheduled time from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m.
“The heavy rainfall is going to be coming through,” White said. “So the farmers market has been canceled, unfortunately, along with the soil shop.”
