A new early childhood education center is opening in Millburg.
The Southwest Michigan Regional Chamber says Tri-County Head Start is opening the center at 4821 North Street to serve the area north of Benton Harbor.
Tri County Head Start has served more than 40,000 children across Berrien, Cass, and Van Buren since its inception 52 years ago. Today, it serves more 580 children across seventeen locations and forty-one classrooms throughout the region.
The new Millburg location represents the organization’s first permanent, purpose-built facility dedicated solely to early childhood education.
Previously serving as Countryside Academy’s Millburg Campus, the building was a natural fit for Head Start. The facility will include eight early childhood education classrooms, office space, and areas for play and learning. It will cater to kids from infancy through preschool.
The Southwest Michigan Regional Chamber will hold a ribbon cutting for the center on Friday, August 9 at 3 p.m.
