The Grand Opening of Front Street Glassworks happens today, Wednesday, April 20th, at the new glass gallery, studio, and gift shop at 113 E. Front Street in Buchanan. Front Street Glassworks is a retail store that caters to dispensary customers and glass enthusiasts, exclusively offering a wide array of head glass products and accessories.
Owners Brett Thompson and Anthony Osowski have a passion for functional glass and the culture surrounding glassblowing. Opening this studio is an exciting new venture for them, aiming to work with local and regional glassblowers to bring exclusive custom pieces to the storefront.
The retail shop is open as of today, and specializes in hand-blown glass, gifts, and accessories.
The glassblowing studio will open in June, with the capacity to host three glass blowers at one time. Their goal is to feature live glass blowing demonstrations on Saturdays throughout the warm weather season, as well as glass blowing classes.
