A rising tide lifts all boats and that’s readily evident this week in the employee ranks at United Federal Credit Union where recent promotions of several key players have in turn resulted in the elevation to new branch management roles for a quintet of other top performers around Berrien County. New branch managers have been appointed from St. Joseph and Benton Harbor to Berrien Springs, Buchanan and beyond.
Word comes this morning of those five new appointments at United Federal including:
- Jodie Kitchell as new Branch Manager for St. Joseph
- Wendy Hubbard as new Branch Manager for Benton Harbor
- Thomas Newnum as new Branch Manager for Stevensville
- Vanessa Crescio as new Branch Manager for Buchanan
- Brenda Roggow as new Branch Manager for Berrien Springs
Kitchell in St. Joseph replaces Emily Szymkiewicz, who was recently promoted to Market Vice President. Kitchell came to UFCU in 2007 and has served as a member service advisor and assistant manager of the Member Service Center. Jodie holds an associate degree in applied science from the Illinois Institute of Art – Chicago. She teaches Junior Achievement at Coloma Elementary School.
Hubbard moves up from assistant branch manager to branch manager in Benton Harbor, replacing Kylie Svorec, who has assumed the position of director of the Member Service Center. Hubbard joined UFCU in 2013 and has served as a teller and a member service advisor. Wendy is currently pursuing a degree in business administration.
Newnum replaces Kameron Morris at Stevensville after Morris was recently promoted to the position of Director of Mortgage Sales. Newnum’s background includes mortgage advisor and member service advisor. He served in the U.S. Army as an air traffic control specialist and a logistics manager. He is pursuing a business management degree from Cornerstone University.
At Buchanan, Crescio brings a background that includes mortgage underwriter, real estate broker, and sales and marketing manager, to her new role as Branch Manager. She holds a master’s in business administration from the University of Notre Dame Mendoza College of Business.
Roggow was formerly the assistant branch manager in St. Joseph. She came to UFCU in 2008. Roggow has attended Lake Michigan College and Davenport University. She is an active volunteer for nonprofit organizations in the community.
