In a stunning move, considering the location and brand name involved, the Stevensville McDonald’s at Exit 23 has permanently closed.
There’s no official word from the Indiana based owners of the franchised store, however signs and blockades in the parking lot indicate McDonald’s Stevensville has closed up shop.
The location has often been the subject of customer complaints about service and quality of food, compared to other McDonald’s in the region. However, the closure of a McDonald’s restaurant on a busy Interstate exit is almost unheard of.
Exit 23 has been occasionally closed for short periods of time amid reconstruction of I-94, but most food outlets in the neighborhood have weathered the interruption in business with no apparent long term impact.
