Sarett Nature Center’s annual Family Festival is set for this Saturday.

As part if the fun, Sarett will host live music, crafts for kids, nature walks, and food trucks from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. Director Nate Fuller said he’s excited to celebrate with the community.

“The whole goal of the family festival is to welcome the community, to come out to Sarett and see what we have to offer,” Fuller said. “This is a great way to get introduced to all the fun things and great opportunities to enjoy nature.”

In addition to the festival, Sarett will be highlighting its 60th anniversary. The center will celebrate with a birthday cake and a presentation at 3 p.m. Fuller says the center has come a long way, and he hopes it will continue to inspire people for another 60 years.

“The nature center exists to be a community resource, to inspire people to love and care for nature and take that inspiration back home with them.”

Face painting, wagon rides, animal shows, and other exhibits will be available for all during the festival.

The Family Festival is open to everyone, and not just members of Sarett Nature Center. Festival entrance fees for nonmembers are $10 for adults, $5 for children, and $25 for families. Nature center members receive a discount at $8 per adult, $3 per child, and $20 per family.
