Summer in Michigan’s Great Southwest just isn’t summer without a giant elephant ear from the Berrien County Youth Fair or one of those famous “Friends of Berrien Springs” Korn Dogs on a stick!
You can kickstart fair season this year with a first of its kind Fair Food Drive Thru event over the Father’s Day weekend at the Berrien County Youth Fairgrounds in Berrien Springs.
Youth Fair organizers decided to host the Fair Food Drive Thru in a bid to help some of the concession vendors as well as the Fair itself in light of forced cancellations of revenue generating events which play a huge role in sustaining year round operations. Those cancellations due to the pandemic have taken a bit out of revenues, but you can get a bite of your favorite Fair Food Fare starting on June 19th and running through June 21st.
That’s when numerous vendors will be serving up some of your favorite fair foods and you don’t even have to leave the comfort of your own car.
Those who wold like to take part in the drive thru event should enter Gate 3 at 4293 E. Shawnee Road, and follow the barriers to the drive thru area. The drive thru will take place on Friday, June 19th from 11 am to 7 pm, Saturday, June 20th from 11 am to 7 pm and Sunday, June 21st from 11 am to 4 pm. In addition there are a few more guidelines you need to know for this event:
- All guests are asked to stay in their vehicles while on the grounds…
- All cars must exit the grounds after ordering and receiving food. Food may not be consumed on the grounds…
- No walk-up orders will be allowed…
- No pets allowed…
- No public bathrooms will be available…
- Smoking is prohibited on the grounds…
- Cash only, no ATM’s available…
Food vendors participating in the drive thru include:
