After nearly ten years anchored in the same large building on the outskirts of town, Fred Welch and his team are feeling considerably more like they are "right at home" in their new space in the Uptown neighborhood on the edge of downtown St. Joseph. Anytime that you're feeling right at home, that's a great thing in Fred's business. In fact…that is the name of his business — Right at Home of Southwest Michigan.
Fred and his team conducted a formal ribbon cutting ceremony at their new office space in Suite A at 1111 Main Street in St. Joseph just off the junction of Main Street and Niles Avenue. His new balloon-festooned facilities provide Right at Home with considerably higher visibility to passers-by, and a much higher degree of access to clients and caregivers alike for the business which is now into its 10th year of operations in Michigan's Great Southwest.
Right at Home of Southwest Michigan is a key provider of non-medical, in-home care and assistance for elder clientele and their adult children. His franchise serves the tri-county area of Berrien, Cass and Van Buren Counties for the internationally-recognized system of more than 400 independently-owned offices across the nation and in nine other countries worldwide.
Right at Home had maintained offices in the former Radix Communications building along Lake Shore Drive in St. Joseph Township since opening for business on January 2, 2007, and has grown its usable space by more than 45-percent in making the move to St. Joseph. The agency now has special rooms for conferencing, training, filing & records, administration, and reception in the 1,500 square foot space with street-side parking on Main Street and a spacious lot on the Niles Avenue side of the house.
Welch serves on the board of the Cornerstone Chamber of Commerce, who facilitated the ribbon cutting ceremonies at noon today. St. Joseph Mayor Mike Garey welcomed Right at Home to the community, thanking them for establishing their new base of operations in the city, while State Representative Al Pscholka, Adam Mensinger from Senator John Proos' office and Mike Ryan representing Congressman Fred Upton presented Welch with a framed legislative tribute citing the company as the "finest in-home care providers in the community."
Right at Home brings in home, private-duty, homemaker, companion and personal care service in a broad array of services on an as-needed basis, and no contract is ever required. Welch offers free, no-obligation, consultation to any interested party. You can reach the new offices in St. Joseph at 428-9100 at any time.
