Entertainer Mark Ficks Reminds Fans He’s ‘Coming Home’ This Week

If you like some musical entertainment along with your food and drink in Michigan’s Great Southwest, you’ve probably run into Mark Ficks and his guitar over the past few years.  He’s been a popular and frequent ‘guitar man’ at many venues in the area.

Mark pulled up stakes and moved to North Carolina, but is excited to be ‘coming home’ for several appearances over the next ten days.  He filled us in on his plans:

“I’m coming home for a week of playing music & hanging with family from August 5 – 12. I can’t wait. I’ll be at RyeBelles Restaurant and Bar on the 5th & 11th, at Watermark Brewing Company on the 10th and the The Acorn on Sunday the 6th.

I’ve been asked what’s different about the Acorn show… The Acorn show is a ticketed event in an amazing theatre and it will be heavy on music that I have written. You’ll hear tunes there that you’ve not heard anywhere else, and the stories behind them. You’ll laugh & maybe cry too.

This is an especially meaningful show for me because the Acorn has always been a dream to play, AND I’m getting to play a concert there with my Dad, son, Uncle, and also Aaron Youngstedt & his son Nolan, Phil Molloy, & Greg Collins.

Another special part of the Acorn show is that my Uncle Roger is coming from Cincy to play guitar for it. He is my musical mentor and got me started in this crazy music scene. We haven’t played together in forever and it’s going to be awesome. PLEASE consider getting your tickets now, as the venue is filling up.”

So… if you remember Mark’s musical stylings—or think you’d enjoy them—check him out at one of his upcoming gigs.   Information and tickets for the Acorn are at www.AcornLive.com
