She calls the group, DrGyl’s Women of Wonder, organized during the pandemic by renowned St. Joseph audiologist, business leader, and longtime owner of Dr. Kasewurm’s Professional Hearing Services, Dr. Gyl Kasewurm. Now, she’s pivoting back to a major, in-person, session at the Inn at Harbor Shores next week, DrGyl’s Courage Building Summit.
Dr. Gyl created her Women of Wonder group during the pandemic to offer a place to inspire, enlighten and empower every woman to “become her most awesome self.”
Next week, from June 9th to the 11th, a contingent of 82 women in the hearing healthcare field from one end of the country to the other, including from as far away as Alaska, will descend upon the Inn at Harbor Shores and the community at large to hear from 18 awesome female speakers as they address the most recent developments in business and in life at DrGyl’s Courage Building Summit along the inner harbor.
While the program will take place in person, it is also being attended simultaneously by another 50 women who will be taking part virtually. Dr. Gyl says, “This conference is packed with speakers sharing real-life strategies and stories that helped them conquer difficult situations in their businesses and lives during the pandemic in addition to offering advice on how to operate a more successful business.”
The good doctor adds, “The hearing healthcare field is comprised of 88-percent females, and I just wanted to form a group that would specifically cater to the needs of women. There were so many extra burdens, like home-schooling children that were added to the already overwhelming tasks that many women faced as busy professionals and business owners. I wanted to host a meeting that would help women feel empowered and energized and what a better place than in our beautiful community.”
The groundbreaking experience features several exceptional keynote speakers including:
- Sally Lou Loveman, a former audience manager for Oprah for twenty years
- Jennifer Louden, a personal growth pioneer who helped launch the concept of self-care with her first bestseller, The Woman’s Comfort Book
- Dr. Archelle Georgiou, MD, a nationally recognized physician, author, medical executive and health reporter
- Dr. Gyl Kasewurm, a well known speaker and author in hearing healthcare.
The meeting not only includes a myriad of interesting presentations, it also features a Scavenger Hunt in downtown St. Joseph. Dr. Gyl says, “I’m excited and honored to host these amazing women and to showcase the beauty and many special attractions in Michigan’s Great Southwest. Hopefully, this will become an annual event.”
