They could really use some staff at Berrien County Parks. During this week’s meeting of the Berrien County Board of Commissioners, Commissioner Julie Wuerfel told colleagues she learned at a recent meeting some parks can’t even open full time.
“If you know somebody, if you have a contact of somebody that’s in touch with maybe some high school kids that might be looking for some summer jobs, they can be flexible with things in the parks,” Wuerfel said. “We’re just not getting the applicants.”
Wuerfel said they especially need help at Madeline Bertrand County Park down in Niles. However, she noted they’re short staffed at all of the parks. You can see a list of the county’s current job openings right here.
