Best Lawyers® has named Barry Conybeare and Matt Conklin to the 2023 Edition of Best Lawyers of America®. Conybeare was recognized for his work in Plaintiffs Personal Injury Litigation and Conklin for his work in Claimants Workers’ Compensation Law.
This is Conklin’s first year selected to the list, and Conybeare’s 15th. Conybeare was also named “Lawyer of the Year” by Best Lawyers® for Plaintiff’s Personal Injury in 2013, 2017, and 2021.
Conybeare Law Office was named to U.S. News – Best Lawyers® “Best Law Firms” in 2021 and 2022 with a Tier 1 ranking in the Kalamazoo (Southwest Michigan) Metropolitan area. Conybeare Law Office has been nominated to U.S. News – Best Lawyers® “Best Law Firms” 2023 edition. That list is released in November.

The U.S. News ratings and recognitions are intended as a guide for potential clients and referring lawyers and law firms seeking advice on legal issues. More than 1,000 firms are ranked nationally in more than 80 practice areas. To determine which firms it recognizes, U.S. News considers a variety of factors including evaluations from clients and other attorneys in a peer review program.
Michigan Super Lawyers has also recognized Barry Conybeare, Anne Buckleitner, and Nate Harington in the 2022 edition. This is Buckleitner’s and Harrington’s first year being selected to the Michigan Super Lawyers list, and Conybeare’s 13th. Sasha Boersma was also selected to the 2022 Michigan Rising Stars list by Super Lawyers for her second year in a row.
Each year, no more than 5 percent of the lawyers in the state are selected by the research team at Super Lawyers to receive the Super Lawyers honor and no more than 2.5 percent of the lawyers in the state are selected to receive the Rising Stars honor.
