It’s official. We can now confirm that a Taco Bell is being built in Stevensville, on the same site of the former Long John Silver’s that has now been torn down.
Lincoln Township building official Jim Pheifer tells us the permit has now been approved for the Taco Bell and construction of the new restaurant at 4604 Red Arrow Highway should begin as soon as the site is cleared of the old Long John Silver’s material. The demolition took place over the weekend.
Social media lit up last month with rumors about what was planned for the site, with Taco Bell having the most chatter. Those people were right.
Meanwhile, Taco Bell isn’t the only new fast food joint coming to Lincoln Township. Pheifer tells us the township has also just approved a permit for a Jimmy John’s to go in next to the Culver’s at 4507 Red Arrow Highway. The Jimmy John’s will be on the north side of the Culver’s, where a real estate office used to be located.
Construction equipment is already on site for the Jimmy John’s work to begin soon.
