Celebrate “A Candlelight Christmas” at the Box Factory with “Jeremy T. Butler & Friends”

The Box Factory for the Arts is inviting the community to gather on December 21 for “A Candlelight Christmas” with treasured songs of the season. Jeremy T. Butler, of Benton Harbor, and his merry band of musicians will take the stage to perform original and traditional Christmas music. Organizers invite the whole family to come and celebrate.!

“A Candlelight Christmas” takes place 7-9PM on Saturday, Dec. 21, at the Box Factory for the Arts, 1101 Broad St. in St. Joseph. Tickets are $15 for cabaret tables and $12 general seating in advance at ticketstripe.com/JBProjectMusica, or $15 at the door. Free for children 12 and under.

Lead vocalist Butler will share the stage with six musicians, including Morris Love of South Bend on grand piano. The concert will feature original music and Christmas standards with a laid-back, soulful jazz twist perfect for celebrating the holidays.  In other words, “We’re making spirits bright,” Butler said. Originally from Chicago, Butler graduated from the prestigious Berklee College of Music in Boston 15 years ago and has been teaching choir and vocal music at Benton Harbor middle and high schools. He founded his music-production company, J.B. Project Musicá, to inspire youth to explore the powerful language of music through summer camps, after-school music programming, community culture festivities, and more. Project Musicá operates on the belief that music is a universal language shared by all cultures, ethnicities and creeds. “It is the fiber that binds us together as one race – the human race,” he says on his website jeremytbutler.com.
