Breathe deeply, and you can almost imagine the cool, crisp autumn days that are soon to be upon us; what better way to enjoy those vibrant colors of nature than spending an afternoon with us at Dr. T.K. Lawless Park during our Harvest Fest/Trunk or Treat celebration.
We are very excited to announce that again this year, Cass County 4-H is holding their Trunk-or-Treat event with our Harvest Fest; promising a very exciting afternoon for everyone involved! The Trunk-or-Treat portion of the event will be held from 3:00 to 4:00 p.m., with Harvest Fest from 2:00 to 5:00 p.m.
Special admission to the celebration this year will be 1 canned good per person (which will be donated to a local food pantry), pet supplies (dog food, cat food, kitty litter, etc. that will be donated to the Cass County Animal Shelter) or $1.00 per person.
As in years past, this family event promises to offer something for everyone… from the young, to the young at heart, with a few surprises added in. Among other things, plans include:
- Inflatable activity
- Hayride
- Photo Ops
- Face Painting
- Choo-Choo Ride
- Bonfire
- Zip Line
- Amazing Fun Trail
- Costume Contest – there will be prizes!!
- Trunk Decorating Contest – also prizes!
- TRUNK-OR-TREAT
- Free pumpkins to kids 10 & under while supplies last
- Pumpkin Roll
The Friends of the Cass County Parks will be there to provide plenty of good food for hungry families to purchase, and they may even have the makings for a good ole s’more to make over that bonfire!
