Situated at the corners of Front & Main Streets in downtown Buchanan, Cannavista Wellness has created good-paying, full-benefit jobs for many members of the community who in turn understand the value of “being a good neighbor” and engaging with the community in a meaningful way. Cannavista Wellness has created an approachable alternative wellness facility focused on empowering individuals to take control of their healthcare, through an informed and compassionate team. The team has been recognized both locally and regionally for their business model and contributions to the community and by their loyal workforce and patrons. In fact, they are currently sponsoring a significant fundraising event on July 3rd where 100-percent of the proceeds will go back into the community for the food insecure and for park improvements. We’ve have done this through an informed and compassionate team that extends beyond the patient to the communities we serve. We have created good-paying, full-benefit jobs for many members of our community who in turn understand the value of “being a good neighbor” and engaging with the community in a meaningful way.
In your own words, why do you think this company deserves to be declared to be one of the 20 Best Places to Work in Michigan’s Great Southwest?
We are a compassionate organization with an understanding that teams accomplish more than singular individual efforts. We offer flexible work situations, accommodative policies and supportive of efforts that create a “rising tide lifts all boats” mentality.
What makes workers proud to say they work there, and keeps them a part of the team?
They are proud of the reputation we have built, the recognition and responses from our patrons and the community, our mission to serve and the knowledge that management and their teammates genuinely care about their well-being.

C] Keep communications open? — At 30 employees we can still maintain face-to-face accessible open door/open communication style of operation.

C] How does the nominated company get involved in community events? — We have lead and participated in numerous community events. Some of these include, Fundraisers for the RAM, Lions Club, numerous Chamber and city events, Adopt-a-Highway, city tree planting and restoration projects, and Mill Alley rejuvenation.
D] How does the nominated company celebrate life? — One day at a Time. Every day is an opportunity to be a little better, be a little nicer.
