Break out the flannels and cowboy boots.
The Blossomtime festival announced Monday the 2023 Bud Prince & Princess, Miss Jr. Teen and Miss Teen Blossomtime pageants will take place this Sunday, Nov. 6 at the Lakeshore High School Auditorium in Stevensville.
The theme this year is “Down on the Farm,” and all contestants will participate in an opening number dancing to “Cotton Eye Joe,” Choreographed by members of the St. Joseph High School cheer and dance teams.
Fifteen girls and boys between the ages of 6 and 9 will compete for the title of Bud Prince and Bud Princess. Six girls from 10 to 12 years old will be competing for the title of Miss Junior Teen, and 13 girls aged 13-15 will be competing for the title of Miss Teen of Blossomtime.
Doors open at 2:15 p.m., with the event starting at 3 p.m. Tickets are available at the door for $25 or may be ordered in advance by calling the Blossomtime office at (269) 982-8016.
According to the festival, the Blossomtime Festival Bud Prince & Princess, Miss Junior Teen and Miss Teen of Blossomtime will take an active role in the festival and participate in many of the Blossomtime events, including onstage introduction at the Mr. Blossomtime Pageant on April 16, 2023.
All contestants are invited to ride on the Bud/ Junior/Teen floats in the Grand Floral Parade on Saturday May 14, 2023.
