Is one man’s trash really another man’s treasure?
Michiana residents interested in putting that theory to the test can head to Buchanan this weekend for the annual city-wide garage sale. The sale runs Friday through Sunday, June 9-11, and has over 80 registered sales.
The city of Buchanan released its map of participating residents and businesses earlier this week. The 87-address long list includes antiques, collectibles, tools, and more.
Buchanan Scarecrow Charities, the Buchanan Football Boosters, the Buchanan District Library, Blue Paw Pet Spa, Lake Michigan Steamworks, and several local congregations are also hosting sales this weekend. The map is available on the City website cityofbuchanan.com/community/page/annual-garage-sale-day and Facebook page.
The Buchanan Farmer’s Market at the Common will also be open Saturday 8 a.m. – 1 p.m., and features dozens of local vendors in the heart of downtown Buchanan. Local restaurants and retail will be ready to welcome locals and bargain hunters alike.
