Bridgman High School Number One Among Berrien County In Latest Rankings

Topping the rankings of Berrien County high schools in the latest U.S. News and World Report list is Bridgman High School. The district ranks first in Berrien County and 38th in the state. Bridgman Public Schools says the highest ranked public schools are those whose students demonstrated outstanding outcomes with above expectations in math, reading, and science state assessments. They earned qualifying scores in an array of college-level exams and graduated in high proportions. Superintendent Shane Peters calls the high ranking a “tremendous accomplishment.” Following Bridgman on the list for Berrien County high schools is St. Joseph High School at 63rd statewide. It’s followed by New Buffalo at 72nd, Lakeshore at 109th, River Valley at 180, Niles at 210, Watervliet at 354, Coloma at 363, Eau Claire at 458, and finally Benton Harbor High School, which falls in the ranking of between 479 and 660. South Haven High School ranks 307th statewide. The U.S. News and World Report list considered more than 1,000 Michigan high schools.
