The Bridgman CGA has a new director.
The Southwest Michigan Regional Chamber said Nancy Kiernan has been selected to serve as director of its affiliate, the Greater Bridgman Area Chamber and Growth Alliance, commonly referred to as the Bridgman CGA.
“Nancy’s experience and expertise made her a perfect fit to continue the momentum we’ve worked so hard to establish in the greater Bridgman area,” said Southwest Michigan Regional Chamber President and CEO, Arthur Havlicek.
“We’re thrilled to welcome her aboard and are confident she will capably spur economic growth in Bridgman and Lake Charter township.”
The Chamber says Kiernan, a native of St. Joseph, spent her formative years in Southwest Michigan before attending the University of Chicago. In her career, Kiernan also served as urban planner for three Chicago mayors and, later, as a consultant on electronic project management systems for the construction industry with United Airlines and the Chicago Department of Aviation.
As Director, Kiernan will play a key role in advancing the mission, programming, and initiatives of the Bridgman CGA. Her primary responsibilities will include developing and implementing strategies to attract new businesses, retain and strengthen existing enterprises, and foster overall economic growth within the greater Bridgman area.
“Bridgman is poised for growth and Nancy’s addition will only help us capitalize on that position,” said Bridgman CGA Board Chair, Marty Mason.
“Her experience will be a tremendous resource to business owners like myself and a value-add to the entire Bridgman community.”
“I see boundless opportunities for growth and community enrichment in the Greater Bridgman area,” Kiernan said. “Projects like the Bridgman Courtyard and the Bridgman Trails residential development exemplify the exciting momentum already underway. Kiernan’s hiring announcement said she will work out of an office at Bridgman City Hall, located at 9765 Maple St, Bridgman, MI 49106 and begin knocking on the doors of Bridgman businesses this week.
