Breeze Airways says “It’s seriously nice to be in South Bend!”.

‘Seriously Nice’ is the Breeze Airways mantra of customer service and the attitude that the airline pledges to always portray to customers.  They’ll begin putting that to the test at South Bend International Airport on November 7, when service begins to Orlando, Florida.  Flights to Fort Myers will be added February 5 of 2025.

Mike Daigle, South Bend International Airport CEO and Executive Director commented, “We are thrilled to welcome Breeze to SBN and offer our community more options to easily get to fun in the Sunshine State, “As we continue to push the envelope to be the premier choice for travel, the opportunities Breeze brings as a new airline partner is exciting.”

Indiana Governor Eric Holcomb had praise for the move:  “With Breeze’s decision to expand service out of South Bend, we’re able to offer increased regional connectivity into and out of our great state. Indiana is truly a crossroads and cross airways to destinations near and far.  I’m thrilled to see these increased opportunities for customers to experience all that Indiana has to offer.”

“We’re excited to introduce these nonstop routes from South Bend to Orlando and Fort Myers starting in the fall and winter,” said David Neeleman, Breeze Airways’ Founder and CEO. “These two great warm weather destinations are just the beginning. We see more opportunities from South Bend and we look forward to more growth in the future.”

Breeze Airways South Bend service to Florida differs from established competitor Allegiant by way of the destination airports served.  Allegiant operates from airports in the region of its major named Florida destinations:  Sanford for Orlando and Punta Gorda for Fort Myers, while Breeze flights serve the main Orlando (MCO) and Fort Myers (RSW) airports.  Your eventual destination and your plans for your time in Florida determine whether the destination airport may benefit you… or may not matter.

Breeze, which was recently ranked in the top five of Travel + Leisure’s “Best Domestic Airlines” for the third year in a row, began selling service from just 16 cities in May 2021. Since then, the airline has seen tremendous demand for its unique “premium leisure” model that it says marries efficiency and affordability with comfort and accessibility.

Coupled with an elevated experience featuring premium seating options and high-speed WiFi on its fleet of brand-new Airbus A220-300 aircraft, Breeze says it is “defining what it means to be “Seriously Nice” in an industry that has been anything but.”

Breeze offers both bundled and a la carte options so travelers can customize an experience that fits their needs. Breeze’s fare bundles feature full flexibility along with other add-ons such as bags, seat selection, and inflight WiFi.

Breeze doesn’t charge for change or cancellation fees up to 60 minutes prior to departure and offers other benefits such as ‘no additional charge’ family seating and a la carte pricing.

Breeze spotlights its customer experience as a major benefit, pointing to seamless booking, no change or cancellation fees, up to 24-months of reusable flight credit and customized flight features delivered via a sleek and simple app, Breeze says it  makes it easy to buy and easy to fly.
