Members of Boys & Girls Clubs from across the region will be coming together for the first time on Friday, as we learn in this statement from the organization.
Boys & Girls Clubs of Greater Southwest Michigan will hold its third annual Unity Day with the support of United Federal Credit Union on Friday, August 4, 2023, at the Club’s Benton Harbor Fettig Youth Campus.
Unity Day will allow members from each of the Clubs’ summer locations throughout Southwest Michigan (Benton Harbor, Benton Heights, Bridgman, Buchanan, Lawrence, South Haven, St. Joseph, Sturgis, Three Oaks, and White Pigeon) to come together for the first time. Members can take pride in themselves and their abilities as they learn that physical activity is a fun and integral part of a healthy lifestyle. In addition to running, kickball, and basketball competitions, the Unity Day games will also feature pie-eating, e-gaming, a poetry contest, and a talent show with the goal of appealing to each youth’s individual strengths and interests.
