The Blossomtime Grand Floral Parade is a go for 2022. St. Joseph City Commissioners this week approved plans for the parade. The parade will start at 1 p.m. on Saturday, May 14. The detour for traffic goes into effect at 10 a.m. The parade will begin at Main and Pearl Streets and go through St. Joseph and across the bridge into Benton Harbor, assuming the city of Benton Harbor approves the event for the year. The Run for the Buds 5K Run and Walk will be held prior to the parade, to start at 10:30 a.m. at the corner of Main and Ship Streets. The Youth Parade will be the previous Saturday at 12 p.m. The Blossomtime Festival will celebrate its 116th year in 2022 with the theme “Blossomtime Presents – Past, Present and Future.”
