Berrien COVID Death Toll Rises to 7 With 12 New Positive Cases

The Berrien County death toll attributed to the coronavirus pandemic has jumped to 7 now, while the total confirmed cumulative case count has risen to 124, that’s 12 new cases in the past 24 hours, while the death toll goes up by 2. On Tuesday, the Health Department reported that 65 of those cases are now labeled as recovered in Berrien County. Meanwhile, both Cass and Van Buren County saw four new positive cases each for a total of 26 in Van Buren and 17 in Cass.  Berrien County has logged 7 deaths to date, Van Buren has two and Cass County remains at one death thus far in the pandemic.

Across Michigan, the tally stands at 28,059 statewide, up by 1,058 from yesterday, with 1,921 deaths from the virus, an increase of 153 from Tuesday.
