Berrien County Sheriff’s Office Will Reopen Records Lobbies Next Week

As Michigan continues to reopen for business following the fall-off in cases related to the pandemic, word has come this morning that the Berrien County Sheriff’s Office Records Lobbies in both St. Joseph and Niles will re-open to the public without an appointment starting on Tuesday, July 6th, 2021. Individuals will no longer need to make an appointment for the following services:

  • Firearms Purchase Permits
  • Sex Offender Registry for those who need to verify that month
  • Fingerprinting services
  • Copies of police reports or other public records

The St. Joseph Office Hours of operation at 919 Port Street in St. Joseph will run:

Monday through Friday from 8:00 am until 5:00 pm.

  • No CPL Fingerprinting will take place on Monday’s, fingerprinting is only available until 4:00 pm each Tuesday through Friday.

The Niles Office Hours of operation at 1205 Front Street in Niles will run:

Monday through Friday 8:30 am to 4:00 pm

  • No fingerprinting services will be provided at the Niles Office at this time
