The Berrien County death toll attributed to the coronavirus pandemic has remained at 8 for a couple of days now, while the total confirmed cumulative case count has risen to 158. That’s 4 new cases in the past 24 hours. Today the Health Department reports that 83 of those cases are now labeled as recovered in Berrien County. Meanwhile, Cass held unchanged at 22 cases and 1 death, and Van Buren County saw just one new positive case for a total of 32 cases and two deaths there. Berrien County also counts 174 presumptive cases, in a measure they’ve added over the past several days. That represents an increase of just 2 on that case count.
Across Michigan, the tally stands at 31,424 statewide, up by 633 from yesterday, with 2,391 deaths from the virus, an increase of 83 from Saturday.
