Base Bowls & Company Coming to St. Joseph

There will be a new place to find delicious eats come the middle of May, when Base Bowls & Company officially opens at 731 Saint Joseph Drive in St. Joseph. May 16th is their projected Grand Opening, and this location is the perfect spot for Stephanie Ott to debut her brand new business.

“The goal of Base Bowls & Company is to provide compassionate customer service while bringing something new and flavorful to our community,” says Stephanie.  “Our customers will create their own sorbet, salad, or smoothie bowl, while offering us the opportunity to give back to our community every chance we get. I was born in Southwest Michigan and there is no other place in the world I would rather start a business!”

Base Bowls & Company will offer fresh, local, and exciting ingredients, making the process of ‘building your own bowl’ a tasty adventure. Brainstorming for the perfect business name took weeks, but between family members’ hospitality experience and the excitement of starting something new, ‘Base Bowls & Company’ just felt right. “It is simple and catchy and fits our concept perfectly!”

Starting a new business is not an easy decision or task, but with the support and mentorship of her family, Stephanie knows this long-time dream of hers is the right move. “It has been a long process, but I want to inspire others to follow their dreams and understand that anything is possible if you set your mind to the task and take the right steps to accomplish your dreams!” she tells us.

Base Bowls & Company will be open Monday through Saturday, 10 a.m. to 8 p.m., and closed on Sundays. The new signs arrive today, and she is one step closer to her Grand Opening. The community of St. Joseph welcomes her new business, which will live in the building that housed Clem and Bobbie’s Dry Cleaners for many years. For a sneak peak at the menu and more details about the opening, follow Base Bowls & Company on social media, and Congrats, Stephanie!
