If you’re interested in demonstrating your stage skills, now’s your opportunity. Twin City Players has scheduled auditions for its upcoming production of Sense & Sensibility by Kate Hamill, based on the novel by Jane Austen.
Auditions are scheduled for Sunday, February 9 at 1 pm and Monday, February 10 at 6:30 pm, in The Studio at Twin City Players, 600 W. Glenlord Rd., St. Joseph, MI.
The production description from Twin City Players:
“A playful new adaptation of the beloved novel follows the fortunes (and misfortunes) of the Dashwood sisters—sensible Elinor and hypersensitive Marianne—after their father’s sudden death leaves them financially destitute and socially vulnerable. Set in gossipy late 18th-century England, with a fresh female voice, the play is full of humor, emotional depth, and bold theatricality. Sense & Sensibility examines our reactions, both reasonable and ridiculous, to societal pressures. When reputation is everything, how do you follow your heart?”
Show dates are April 25 – May 11, 2025. Tickets are available at www.twincityplayers.org.
A list of cast/characters needed and additional information to prepare for auditions is available at www.twincityplayers.org. People of all genders and ethnicities are encouraged to audition. For questions, please contact director Julia Farrell Diefenbach at juliafarrell21@gmail.com.
