ARS Gallery Brings Art + Artisans Together

Anna Russo-Sieber and her reclaimed gallery space has long been a fixture at the corner of Territorial and 5th Street in Benton Harbor’s buzzing Arts District. If you’ve not had the chance to step in to the former Candy Company building, take a moment to do so anytime on Sundays in July and August.

That’s because Russo-Sieber and her staff are setting up tables and chairs around the studio and gallery spaces to host local artists, artisans and farmers in their “ARS ARTisan Market,” which will run Noon-5pm throughout summer Sundays.

“The artists, artisans and farmers are a large group who change out to some degree from week to week,” Russo-Sieber tells us. “We do have Bit of Swiss breads, Cheese Lady cheese, I Am The Greatest Coffee from Uncommon Grounds, Mia Maria natural candles, Donna Sauer jewelry, and various farms participate each week.”

So, next Sunday, while you peruse the current gallery exhibits, you’ll be mingling with friends and neighbors, shopping local, and enjoying a lazy Sunday. Keep up to date with the week’s attendees on the ARS Gallery Facebook page and watch for their posted events announcing the week’s Market participants.
